Replacement and spare keys. Remote, proximity and smart keys for many Land Rover and Range Rover models. If you’re down to one key, getting a spare programmed now is usually simpler and more affordable than an all keys lost job later. Lost or stolen keys. On keyless entry vehicles, a missing key is also a security concern. Where the system allows, we can remove lost or stolen keys from the vehicle so they no longer operate it, then program your new keys.
Dashboard replacement. Some Land Rover models house the immobiliser in the dashboard, and it can occasionally fail, showing warning messages or immobiliser lights and leaving the vehicle unable to start. Because new units are costly and parts delays can be long, we replace them with suitable second-hand units where possible.
Electronic steering lock (ESL). Smart key and push button start models often use an ESL, and these modules can fail over time. Most can be refurbished back to working condition, while some need replacement. More on electronic steering lock replacement.
Door, ignition and steering locks. Land Rover door lock and latch assemblies, ignition lock cylinders and steering lock assemblies are complex parts that can wear or fail. We replace them and keep the original key code where possible.
ECU replacement. ECU faults can create starting, coding or gearbox issues. We recommend mechanical diagnosis first, and if the ECU is genuinely faulty we can replace most types with a second-hand unit. See ECU replacement.
Newer Land Rover and Range Rover models use layered security, where the key, immobiliser, steering lock and engine management all need to agree before the vehicle will start. We use professional diagnostic and programming equipment capable of working with these systems, so we can find the actual fault instead of replacing parts on guesswork.
